FROS Foundation aims to drive significant social impact by leveraging our resources to address global challenges across four focus areas.

We focus on opportunities in four key areas:

Focus Area

Advancing Global Health and Wellbeing
The burdens of global health disproportionately affect vulnerable populations. By addressing these challenges, we seek to reduce suffering and enhance quality of life, helping to build a healthier, happier world for all.

Support for innovative approaches to indoor air quality improvement in sub-Saharan Africa.

Support for proposal-writing workshops to improve the effectiveness of public aid.

Grants to support work on reducing poverty through graduation programs in East Africa and South Asia.

Focus Area

Beneficial and Secure AI for all
Artificial Intelligence holds immense potential to benefit humanity, but also poses significant risks if not developed responsibly. We prioritise ensuring that AI is safe and beneficial for everyone, while unlocking its potential to tackle global challenges.

Support to European policy research organisations to  further their work on evidence-based policies related to existential threats, future generations and global welfare.

Grants to analysis and monitoring organisations to further their work mitigating global catastrophic risks, with a focus on Spanish-speaking communities worldwide.

Grant to researchers for their work on cooperative AI.

Empowering Global Talent
Talent is universal, but opportunity is not. We strive to level the playing field by empowering individuals and teams to apply their skills to the world’s most pressing challenges, and connecting them with the essential resources they need to thrive.

To an Indian Network for Impact to create pathways for talented individuals to pursue high-impact opportunities.

Grants for philosophy studies focused on reducing suffering.

Grant to economists for work on the effects of AI on international economics, focusing especially on implications for countries in the Global South.

Focus Area

Climate Change
Climate change demands global effort and collaboration. We focus on evidence-based, cost-effective interventions that accelerate climate solutions and support a sustainable future for all.

We are currently exploring opportunities in this space.

FROS Foundation was founded by Swedish entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist Fredrik Österberg. Fredrik co-founded Evolution in 2006.

Our board consists of Fredrik Österberg, Svante Österberg and Vilhelm Skoglund. 

Our values are love, family, humble ambition, impact-first and inclusion.

Currently, FROS does not employ full-time staff. We rely on the research and recommendations of a network of world-leading experts.
